Welcome to the Chewelah School District #36 Child Nutrition Services Webpage.

Our goal with this page is to provide you with information and tips you can use to better understand and complete the Household Application For Free and Reduced Price Meals form, as well as provide you with links to information on other websites that may be helpful to you.

Parents may choose to apply for benefits by filling out the food service Free and Reduced application form online through Skyward Family Access. This online application is called a Pseudo Application. Paper forms are still available at all school offices and the District Office.

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) is a federally assisted meal program operating in public and nonprofit private schools and residential child care institutions. It provides nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free lunches to children each school day. The program was established under the National School Lunch Act, signed by President Harry Truman in 1946.
